  25. Bible Lesson: How Did We Get God's Word? Notes 2 Timothy 3:16a : “All scripture is given by inspiration of God...” Another translation: “All Scripture is God-breathed...” Is this true or false? You decide. “All,” not “most” or “some” Not words of men - the words of God

  26. Bible Lesson # 29: Vocabulary prophecy – that which was spoken by a prophet interpretation – an explanation private – one's own origin – source, where something comes from will – one's own decision, wish or desire revelation – to reveal, make known

  27. Bible Lesson How did God's Word get written down? God put His holy spirit on men that He chose. They were directed by God. He told them what to write. They were not forced. They wrote in their own language, using their own vocabulary.

  28. Bible Lesson I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin. I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ. Galatians 1:11,12

  29. Bible Verse Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. I Peter 1:20, 21
