  3. Geographicalfeatures Mountains:SudetesandCarpathianin the southofPoland. The highest part of the Carpathians is the Tatra Mountains, along Poland's southern border. Rivers: the mainriver are Vistula and Oder. The Vistula and the Oder flow into the Baltic Sea, as do numerous smaller rivers in Pomerania. Lakes: The largest lakes are Lake Śniardwyand Lake Mamryin Masuria, and Lake Łebskoand Lake Drawskoin Pomerania.

Other resources are: zinc, copper, oil and natural gas, salt, rocky buildings. Industries: heavy industry produces metals and derivatives, chemicals, ship and motor vehicles. Light industry produces electronics and textiles. Agriculture:Poland has a large number of farms that are leading producer of food in the European Union. Turism: a part from the main cities (Warsaw, Krakow, etc.), visitors are attracted by beautiful mountains, sea-coast and lake reserves. Zakopane in the Tatra mountains is very popular for skiing and hiking.
