Project Purpose and Need • Provide a safe crossing and maintain mobility • The bridge is identified as structurally deficient. • Meet regional traffic demands and improve mobility along the US 202 corridor • The existing bridge does not meet current design criteria for the amount of traffic.
Scope of Work • Replace and widen existing bridge • Improve Limekiln Pike approach to Butler Avenue • Add right turn lane to Butler Avenue onto W. Main St. • Upgrade signals • Install ADA ramps • Temporary Pedestrian Bridge
EROSION & SEDIMENT CONTROL • E&S measures staged to coincide with traffic control plan. Include: • Access road, on PennDOT property • Causeways accessing the bridge for construction • Cofferdams: in the stream • Sediment Basin / Stormwater Management Basin
