  1. The Anti-Christ, Who Is He? Introduction: “Anti-christ” is from the Greek antichristos. It is not to be confused with “false Christ” (pseudochristos, Matt. 24: 24). “Anti-christ” is found four times: I John 2: 18; 2: 22; 4: 3; 2 John 7. Throughout history down to the present, many live in fear of the advent of the anti-christ.

The Anti-Christ, Who Is He? 1 Jn:2: 18: Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 1 Jn:2: 22: Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 1 Jn:4: 3: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 2 Jn:1: 7: For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

At the mere sight of their Messiah, the Jews are to turn to Him in a national conversion. 10. Christ, at his coming, will destroy the anti-Christ and all his forces in the battle of Armageddon. 11. After this battle, Christ will establish a world wide Kingdom with Jerusalem as its capital, in which He and the resurrected and transfigured saints will rule for a literal thousand years in peace.

Confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh: 1Jn:4: 3: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 2 Jn:1: 7: For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

  11. The Anti-Christ, Who Is He? How about 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4; Revelation 13? I believe the original fulfillment regarding the above is seen in the Pope and imperial Rome. These matters were spoken of as in the future (future to Paul and Revelation).

The soul of the apostle rushes onward, with glowing zeal for the honor of his Master whom Gnosticism dishonored, to identify personally the historical Jesus with the Divine Being, "the Son of God," "the Word of Life," "the Christ." "Who is the liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, even he that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father” (International Standard Bible Encyclopedia).
