Judges’ Tally Sheet: How is your science fair project graded? • Student’s name is clearly identified • The question the project seeks to answer is clear • The hypothesis is clearly stated • The variable(s) is/are clearly stated • The procedures are clear, complete, and relevant to the hypothesis • Data or observations records are well- illustrated by graphs, tables, photos, etc. • The conclusion is consistent with the data and clearly refers to the original hypothesis • The display is neatly organized and is appealing to the eye • The written explanation clearly shows an understanding of the project and the ability to extend beyond the project • The written portion of the project (including the display) demonstrates a command of written language, utilizing proper grammar and punctuation
