  3. Introductions • Name • Location • Group(s) involved with

  4. Updates • Organizational Reminders • Please do not contact staff experts directly. Staff experts e-mail addresses have been remove d from the Team list. All the communication has to be through Jennifer. • Please Cc: Irena and Jennifer on e-mails to all members of a group. This will be by default once the e-mail lists are created • No need to Cc: when sending e-mails to individual group members • Group Leads-- use regularly the “CS CC STC Goals” document: https://docs.google.com/a/umuc.edu/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0As_t0EYncf20dGdsS09UaDMxVnBmZW9VUzdOWFpacVE&authkey=CIDBgtYD&authkey=CIDBgtYD#gid=6- filter by column “G” (“Group”) - update the status on your group activities here - provide date of last update • TCC EIC – recommendation from Search Committee is being ratified this week • San’s Cloud Cover column in Computer magazine starts in January. • Brochure – looks very nice, including redirects fro links; last editions will be provided today • Additional meetings/calls last week: • Chis and Irena discussed Online Presence group goals

  5. Updates (Staff) • Tri-fold brochure returned to Irena for final comments (12/7) • Staff edit on 9x11 flyer was discussed – earliest start date possible is mid-January, but it would be helpful to understand what even is the deadline for this being ready • Staff work proceeding on JOIN button – demo for Irena planned for Dec 14, out by the end of the year (assuming no more hang ups like we’ve run into to date) • Staff work on Mooney’s access proceeding – waiting on feedback from Mooney (mail sent 12/6), would like to nail down Wiki needs by years end as well • Video taping at GlobeCom went well, post-production work to proceed after the holidays • Blog posting – still waiting on volunteer side • Marketing plan – still waiting on a clear, focused goal on the volunteer side before continuing discussions, timing flexible • TCS for Conferences – there is a strong concern on the staff side for over extending TCS mechanism and over committing resources, which should be discussed. It is important that TCS means something more than a logo on a page. • Conference list – waiting on volunteer side

  6. Updates (Staff) • Staff resources for all emerging technology work (which includes the CC STC) is under discussion in the upcoming weeks. As relevant details are available, these will be shared. • Budget discussions with the CCI are also ongoing, Kathy is re-working the budget based on information we sent them back in September and hopefully more information there in the next week • Staff working on Newsletter template and guidelines • Staff still trying to find information on reported “15 new educational modules”, and nothing has emerged from queries to date, still digging • EiC search proceeding for Transactions on Cloud, may have announcement in next week • MOU for Cloud Magazine moving forward – when in place, EiC search will begin • Question was asked to staff “How does this STC project fit into the overall IEEE CC initiative?” – I’m not sure what is meant by this?

  7. General Discussions • Goals for Advertising CS Cloud Computing STC in 2013 All goals listed here: https://docs.google.com/a/umuc.edu/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0As_t0EYncf20dGdsS09UaDMxVnBmZW9VUzdOWFpacVE&authkey=CIDBgtYD&authkey=CIDBgtYD#gid=33 • Promote CS Cloud Computing STC • Involve subject matter experts (SMEs) • Increase membership • Promote STC and CS products • Promote Cloud / Technical conferences that we sponsor
