Screen Gems

1. Screen Gems Screen Gems is a production company that distributes films as well as produces them, they have a variety of romantic comedies, one example is Friends with Benefits. We based our film on friends with benefits and I feel that because of that Screen Gems would be great production company to distribute our film as they have done one similar to ours before. Screen gems is a subsidiary company of Sony pictures entertainment that has served several different purposes for its parent companies over the decades since its incorporation. Screen Gems also produced films similar to ours such as Easy A and Dear John. The audience that screen gems appeals to is a variety as they don’t just produce romantic comedies, however, their romantic comedies also appeal to a mass audience as their romantic comedies are always different.

2. 20th Century Fox 20th Century Fox is very similar to screen gems as it produces and distributes a variety of genres which includes romantic comedies, one example of a romantic comedy produced and distributed by 20th century fox is Date Night which is more for the comedic side of romantic comedies, which is why I feel that this distribution company will not be good for our particular film as the other distribution companies such as screen gems would understand the distribution and production a lot more.

3. Paramount Pictures • Paramount Pictures is also similar to 20th Century Fox with the idea that they produce romantic comedies that a lot of comedy in them. Films such as Morning Glory, the title says a lot as it is a comedic term which insinuates that the film is very comedic.
