  5. Checklist for Aug/Sept/Oct • See counseling webpage…NOW!

  6. What should you do now (Nov/Dec)? • Continue to complete and monitor applications for colleges and scholarships (apply for as many scholarships as you can). • Deadlines may occur by Dec 1st or earlier. • Meet ALL application requirements. • Attend the Senior financial aid workshop for parents and students. • Search online (Fastweb & others) for scholarship opportunities including the websites listed on the counseling webpage and check directly with your college(s) financial aid department.

  7. After the semester ends…FAFSA! • When: January(ish) • Complete and return FAFSA (www.fafsa.ed.gov) as soon after January 1st as possible as financial aid is awarded on a first come first served basis. • Continue to complete and monitor applications for colleges and scholarships-make sure materials are received on time.

  9. Maintain your grades. Your GPA is VERY important! • Rank/GPA & ACT/SAT scores are the biggest factors in the application process! • Be aware of graduation requirements. Finish semester strong and get ALL of your credits!

  10. Selective Service Registration • ALL Males MUST register for Selective Service upon turning 18 • http://www.sss.gov/default.htm

  11. Senior Trip • Sign up now!!! • *Total Cost will be $70.00 and includes trip to Fort Worth Stock Yards and trip to Six Flags • *You will need to bring money for lunch at the Stock Yards and any spending money you want. • *You need to sign-up and put down a $35 deposit by December 1st. • *Sign up and turn in your deposit to Ms. Gracy or Mr. Kiefer ASAP!!
