The Interim Period (ca. 2000 - 2006) • few digital collections produced • elements of a program, but minimal planning • Metadata Analyst / Programmer • Digital Production Center • Digital Collections Council • ad hoc approaches and solutions
Digital Collections Program (2006 - ongoing) • replaced DynaWeb (with in-house Tripod) • still working to mainstream metadata creation • meanwhile, expectations increase, desire to digitize at large scale
Metadata Tool Project: Short-term • hire two programmers (done Fall 2008) • metadata training for catalogers (Spring 2009) • support real-time publication of digital collections and finding databases (2009 - ongoing)
