Kathy Brown, Colorectal Surgeon and L&D NSSG Chair, reports on the key features and achievements of a full colorectal cancer service spanning four sites (soon to be three) in the region. This includes diagnostics, treatment, and network referral pathways for TEMS and liver/lung resections. Some Challenges • Complete data collection of the COSD • Develop a local TEMS service • Attendance of RF liver surgeons at MDTs • E&N Herts to amalgamate their 2 MDTs • Endoscopy capacity, • given public awareness campaigns • Age extension for screening
Priorities of the Future • Review and update clinical guidelines • Working more closely as a network
