  1. Incoming 7th Grade Math Students, My name is Mrs. Graf, and I will be your math teacher in the upcoming school year. I am very excited to start working with all of you. This will be my eighth year teaching and my second as a Spartan! I would like to give you an idea of what to expect from math and what is going to be expected of you. Number fluency is a middle school expectation. This means you know your math facts and can perform operations with them quickly and correctly. Because of this expectation, you need to continue to practice your math facts over the summer. I have attached the math summer assignment below. The problems should be a review of 6th grade math skills. You need to show your work for each problem (if extra space is needed, your work can be on a separate piece of paper). If you need any help on the assignment, feel free to email me at agraf@wayne-local.com or bring the assignment to one of the tutoring sessions at Mary L. Cook Public Library. The sessions will be held from 10-11 a.m. on the following dates: June 16, July 7, July 28, August 4, and August 11. If you attend, it will not only be a chance for you to get help on the assignment, but it will be a chance for me to meet you and get to know some faces! Your assignment will be collected on the second day of school in the fall. Additionally, to ensure you have done the work yourself and fully reviewed your 6th grade math skills, there will be a TEST over the material on the third day of school. You will NOT be allowed to use a calculator on this test. Practicing your math skills over the summer will greatly increase your chance of being successful during the school year. I look forward to working with you next year! Enjoy your summer! Mrs. Graf
