  2. Mission Statement Berkeley Rotary Endowment will seek to improve the quality of life and to promote the well-being of the members of our local and international communities' through charitable giving activities and sponsorship

BRE Responsibilities • To maintain the 501(c)(3) status in accordance with California and Federal Law • To keep endowment books • To invest and manage the corpus funds • To build the corpus • To develop and implement a plan for long term giving • To ensure donated and designated monies are spent in a manner consistent with intent of the beneficiary • Manage restricted fund accounting (6) • To meet with the Club Board for discussion of proposed projects in order to select the projects and approve the funding • To comply with all other responsibilities as outlined in the bylaws of the the Berkeley Rotary Endowment

Investment Committee Activities The First Investment Committee meeting was at ManjulBatra’s Office, Cooperative Realty/Janta Inc., 1316 University Avenue, Berkeley, California 94703 on Wednesday, July 12, 2012, at 2:00 pm. The Second Investment Committee meeting was held at his Lordship’s Restaurant on August 15, 2012 after the regular luncheon meeting. The third Investment Committee meeting was held at Epworth Methodist Church, 1953 Hopkins Street, Adult Study Room at 5.15 PM on Thursday Aug 23, 2012.
