  3. “Post-It” Audience Analysis • Use a full pack of Post-It Notes • Instruct participants to place their note near another like it • Reorganize them into distinct groups as needed • Discuss your analysis with the group

  4. Presentations • Keep them eight to twelve minutes without questions • Use groups of three ideas • Speak as though you were having a one-way conversation with someone at the back of the room

  5. Open Word Document • Prepare it in advance • Use a page break for each new question • Type summaries of all input right in the document • E-mail the results to participants

  6. The Continuum • Use it to form “Think-Pair-Share” discussion groups • Instruct participants to line single-file between two equally attractive opposite values expressed on signs at opposite ends of the room

  7. “Think-Pair-Share” • Use a handout • Include one or two “open” questions or instructions for team development • Have the teams present their results • Collect their work, and send an e-mail of it to the participants

  8. Other Possibilities • Flip Chart Discussion • Flip Chart “Think-Pair-Share” • Markerboard and Recorder • Tape Recorder

  9. Conclusion • Any variation on Pop-Ed techniques is encouraged (for example information-technology forms) • All participants’ expertise is recognised • Pop-Ed techniques are excellent for conference and workshop settings
