Flow definitions • “ a holistic sensation that people feel when they act with total involvement.” (Csikscentmihalyi, 1975, p.36) • “a collective state that occurs when a group is performing at the peak of its abilities” (Sawyer, 2003, p.167) • “The group can be in flow even when the members are not; • or the group might not be in flow even when the members are.” (Sawyer, 2006, p.159)

Team Flow • Team flow is a holistic experience that all team members share when they act together with total involvementduring the execution of the team task, which comprises three core aspects: • individual team members experience the mental state of flow simultaneously by executing their personal tasks; • the team members deriving flow from the team dynamic, which is structured by seven shared precursors; • team members sharing a dynamic that reflects a state of flow as a whole, which is characterized by four components.
