  2. Adding District Staff to Campus • Verify that the staff member is already in Campus; if not, add them. See instructions for Adding a Person, in the Census portion of the Clerical Training packet. • Navigate to the staff member’s Census records.

Adding District Staff in Campus • Click the District Employment tab and fill out the employee’s Start Date (start of the employment), License Number, FTE Percent, Seniority Indicator, and whatever information is relevant for them. Note that an End Date should only be used to indicate the date that employment with our district has ended. • Save.

  4. Adding District Staff in Campus • Click the District Assignment tab to see past and current job assignments. To see detail of an assignment, select it from the list by clicking on it, and the details will show. • Click the New Assignment button near the top. A screen will appear requesting the new Assignment Information details.

Adding District Staff in Campus • In the Employment Assignment Information section, it is important to make the choice that most closely matches the staff member’s assignment. .5 • Select the School, Department, and Title from the drop-down selections. • Enter the Start Date to indicate when the assignment is effective. • Enter the FTE of Assignment. • Select all boxes that apply. If an employee is marked as a Teacher, they will be available for selection in the Scheduling area of Campus. If marked as Special Ed and/or Advisor, they will be available for selection as Team Members in the Special Ed area of Campus. The Behavior box should be selected for those needing to work with students’ behavior. The Health box should be selected for Health clerks, etc.

  6. Changing District Staff Assignments in Campus • If the staff member is not new, but is switching assignments, update this information in the District Assignment tab. • If a staff member is changing to a different assignment within • the school district, follow the instructions on Adding a • new District Assignment. • After the new assignment has • been created, don’t forget to • click on the staff member’s • old assignment and enter an • End Date. Doing this will • ensure that they do not have • rights to areas of Campus that • they shouldn’t have.

  7. Adding/Changing District Staffin Campus After the District Employment and District Assignments have been completed, a Campus User account can be created. • Create a User Account and give the new user access to applicable User Group(s) and Calendar Group(s). • For Security purposes, do not grant user access to user groups that are not specific to the staff member’s current job assignment. • If a staff member has switched assignments, modify User Group(s) and Calendar Group(s) to match the user’s current job assignment.
