  2. Actions taken: • Objectives and expectations of / from WES-Net India • WES-Net India:- Sharing, partnering, visibility & networking for info. Flow • Has no competition with existing/ any new forum- is open to coordinate - complimentary to the efforts of stakeholders - bridge between states- national level; • State Chapter Jharkhand- in place • Working group in place • WES-Net state chapter host secretariat- NEEDS (earlier Plan India) • Identify Gaps and challenges- done • .

Working Group Working Group of WES-Net State Chapter Jharkhand, now consists of: • Plan India: Arhghya and Meeta • Water Aid: SumantraMukherjee • GSF: CD Singh • WESNET: AvinashZutshi • MahilaSamakhya : name to be confirmed by Ms. Smita Gupta, Dir. MS • NBJK: Partho Das. • DWS-Mr. S.Narayan • UNICEF Mr. SomNathBasu • Mr. PranRanjan – SPWD • Ms. Urmi – NEEDS

Actions to be taken • State Hosting Secretariat team – 1 member Plan India, NEEDS and 1 member to be decided.?? • TOR for the working group- to be agreed • Task Force; - Arsenic, Fluoride and ............... - Jharkhand to decide to launch WQ (holistic approach) a task force • Database of sector agencies, networks for implementation and capacity/skills development • Compendium of practices- fact sheets, position papers, peer reviews, success stories etc.

WES-Net activities: • Knowledge (best practices and experiences) hub, action research& CB network National and regional/ state activities: • Coordination, communication, dialogues, debates and events • Encourage networking and sharing • Gaps analysis- policy and implementation challenges • Initiate Dialogue on crucial/ critical issues • Thematic& Research issues, position/ status reviews, compendium • Conduct validation in public domain • Visibility- Annual services status review, awards, directories, validation of experiences, • Publish annual compendium of field realities and policy protocols • Developing knowledge products– support policy & implementation • Advocacy to support government efforts, policy and guidelines

WES-net activities: Facilitate , coordinate “Training & capacity/skills development” • Announcements and sharing database with stakeholders • Coordination with local training institutions (WSSO, CCDU, KRC e.g. VISWA, NERC) and • Support WSSO, CCDU, KRC etc. by a cadre of trained master trainers and training individuals to perform at macro, mesa and micro layers thru.’ accreditation of trainers, training modules • Partners specific capacity building initiatives [e.g. WQ testing laboratory, GIS/GPS monitoring platform, Water security/ Water Safety planning, WES Emergency Planning, Water Resources Management Planning etc., Training of plumbers, fitters, PRIs, ULBs and other Govt.’/ non-govt.’ , private sector functionaries] • Internees and fellowship-ships for specific action research activities-WASH professionals cadre building
