  7. Art • The Mesopotamians had many different types of art. First the Mesopotamians had great architecture (the building of buildings). Usually the greatest Mesopotamian architecture was based in their religion. The Mesopotamians built great Ziggurats as an honor to their gods.

  8. Music • Music was another important art in Mesopotamia. The Mesopotamian people thought that music brought joy to the gods and people. Musicians played music at the temple and wrote love songs to entertain people at feasts. This is an example of a harp used during this time. Mesopotamians loved to play and sing music for entertainment

  9. These are examples of ancient gold necklaces made in Mesopotamia • Jewelry was very important to the people of Mesopotamia. Jewelry was used for both decorative and religious purposes. Many craftspeople made beautiful jewelry out of different materials including gold.
