  2. My Nana and I • As a young child, my nana and I went to the local fire hall to play bingo • My summers’ were spent at her house in Pittsburg and we even would go sailing

  5. The Before • I loved bingo with my Nana and baking next to her was a tradition. Highlighted portions are the way people remembered her the most.

  6. The Change Cancer struck my Nana when I was in middle school. I had to slowly watch the woman who helped raise me deteriorate. As hard as it was I knew she would never give up. Each year she set yearly goals for us to reach together! My most memorable one was 8th grade graduation!

  7. What Happened • Though cancer had taken over her life, that is unfortunately not how she died. A few days before Halloween she slipped outside and hit her head on a storm drain.

  8. The After • She passed away with my mom and I by her side. It broke my heart but I stayed strong for my mom and helped her through it. • The hardest part was the day of her viewing, her cancer doctor called to let us know her she was free from cancer…

  9. The Heartbreak • For all the years she fought through her cancer treatments and medical bills, we always thought cancer would be the terrible down fall but what had taken her was a simple fall.

  10. What I Learned • Leave a legacy on life just as my Nana did • Never forget what is important in life because you never know how long you have someone

  11. Conclusion • This truly opened my eyes to how short life can be.
