  2. Bias • http://bit.ly/Hrhjh4 http://binged.it/HSPFKL

  3. Bias • An example of bias in a book we have read this year together is Waiting For the Rain. In this book, Tengo is not allowed into the school with the white kids. He experiences prejudice from the whites, and goes into war against the whites.

  4. Bias I have read a article in a Scholastic News and I read about how the blacks experienced a lot of whippings cruelness from the whites. The whites were prejudice to all the blacks. They kept them as slaves. The whites had a bias against the blacks. Another example of bias is if you prefer blue more than red, or soccer more than football. That is your bias.

  5. Bias • Bias is important to us 7th graders because you will be able to recognize it in your future so you can see the difference in the truth and a person’s bias. If you become a lawyer, or an investigator you will need that knowledge. Writers use bias in dialogue when their characters state their opinions. If you are a historian it would help you to remember to check other sources for facts, if you had that knowledge. Opinions and facts are different and it will help if you can distinguish those two. http://binged.it/HZmnPj
