  1. ARRA CMS Reporting CCIT Meeting September 16, 2009

  2. CMS ARRA Records • CMS ARRA records are now ready for agencies to input information • As of 9/15/09: • 4 Prime Recipient Records entered • 18 Subrecipient Records entered • Total grants are now at 54 and are anticipated to be about 75 by the end of September 2009

  3. Guidance on Entering Data • Office of the State Controller (OSC) has developed explanations of each field for • Prime Recipient Records (PR) • Subrecipient Records (SR) • Internal Recipient Records (IR) • See OSC ARRA Website: http://www.colorado.gov/dpa/dfp/sco/contracts/ARRA/ARRA_Main_Page.htm

  4. Observations on Data Entered in CMS ARRA • Enter all fields including Project Name • Suggest that agencies develop procedure to ensure records are complete • ARRA - Federal Award Number is the match key • Be especially careful when entering this field • Must be the same on the Award Letter and in COFRS

  5. Suggested Approach • Enter all Prime Recipient Records and Internal Recipient Records – depending on the classification of your agency for the grant • All Fields except the ones that are not known now • Update remaining fields as data become available, such as jobs created or retained • Enter Subrecipient Records last (next slide)

  6. Subrecipient Records • The Subrecipient Legal Name MUST match the Subrecipient Name in COFRS • OIT plans to send a report to agencies with COFRS information • In the meantime, agencies should enter the COFRS Subrecipient Name into CMS so there is a match on the Subrecipient Name between COFRS and CMS

  7. Next Steps • OSC is available to answer questions on ARRA Reporting, and will visit agencies upon request to assist in complying with ARRA Reporting.

  8. Contacts • CMS ARRA Issues: • Brenda Lujan OSC 303 866-5703 • Bob Jaros OSC 303 866-3765 • COFRS Mismatches • Jennifer Henry OSC 303 866-3809
