Welcome to Mr. Evans' 5th-grade class at Eugene Field School! With a degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Social Science from Missouri Western State University, I am excited to guide my students to success. My classroom goals focus on effort, organization, and timely submissions. We have exciting field trips and fun class parties planned throughout the year.   3. School Information Field Elementary School 2602 Gene Field · Saint Joseph, MO P: 816-671-4130 · F: 816-671-4478 School runs from 8:00 to 3:20, Monday thru Friday.

  4. Classroom Goals • All Students will give 110% effort everyday • Students will use a blue notebook as a “planner” I will have random “check planner” days, so students are required to use them. • Assignments must be turned in everyday on the date they are due. Students are normally given time in class to finish a good portion of the work if they stay focused.

  5. Early Field Trips • Pony Express, Oct 8. • Kansas City World War 1 Memorial, Dec. 12 • All trips will need parent volunteers, talk to me tonight if you think you may be able to come. • More info will be coming home soon.

  6. Class Parties We have two parties planned, the first is our Winter party that will be late in December. The next will be a late March, spring themed party. I will provide the snacks and games for both parties. Remember to talks to the nurse if your child has any dietary restrictions.

  7. Class Schedule Morning= Math, Reading/ Language Arts, Spelling Afternoon= History/ Science This is a rough outline, because schedules can and will be changed constantly. Students will be bringing home a more in depth but still rough schedule later on this week.
