1. What is Memshare? Ship building is a wide process structured on certain steps, involving a lot of materials and human resources. Memshare is the software that can help you build ships better and faster. We will achieve this by accelerating and improving communication, as well as the information flow. 3. Shipbuilding General Aspects 3.1 QC Flow - Check Component There are many flowcharts showing the processes QC controls. This is one of them showing the steps followed by QC department in the circuit of checking activities in the shipyard.

4.1 Steps for Using QR Codes 1. By entering specific data in the table, the architect generates a QR code, which will be printed afterwards on the sketch.

5. Case Studies Case study 1 – Welding BeltWelding two components can lead to an issue regarding the dimensions of the belt. Firstly, the architect completes the table, generating the QR code on the sketch.
After fixing the problem, the components will be moved in the “OK” tree. Case Study 1 – Issue Tree & Adding Tags After completing the real values, if the belt is supra-dimensional, the differences will generate the issue tree and QC places the tag. Afterwards, the foreman is notified to change the problem.
Case study 2 – Board Panel When welding 3 boards the layers may move, resulting a form different than rectangle. Therefore, the diagonals have to be measured to make sure it is right.
When everything is replaced, the issue is moved in the “OK” tree. Case Study 2 – Issue Tree & Adding Tags QC will be notified and, if the task is not properly done, it is sent to foreman for review. The values will be corrected.
6. Memshare Functions 6.1 Node TemplateHelps you to create and manage multiple ship projects. By setting a certain node as template, its structure will be copied and you can use it later for other project, saving hours of work. All the options of the system introduced until this point are available thanks to some basic functions.
Outstanding Items – Tests Template The whole ship testing process can be easily organized. Creating a node with tests and setting it as template will significantly save time for the next ship project because there will be no need to write all the steps again.

The fields that have to be completed will have a coded format. 6.2 Document Template After the document form is set, generate it with: right click ->”Generate document” → select document's title (the file will appear and it can be completed.) A Document Template is a pre-set document with a standard format, previously written and inserted in the software. Every time the same document is needed, it just has to be generated and you only complete certain fields.

Generate the document from the node it was entered in. Non- conformance Sheet Generating If you are in a hurry and you have to write too many documents, the solution is called “Generating documents”. Here are the steps for completing and generating a non-conformance sheet.
6.3 How to Add Tags Tags are labels/ short words, used as importance classifiers for different problems that may appear. This is how a tag is added:
Searching by Tags Searching by tag will show all the tasks included in a certain category. This option helps building a database that can be accessed anytime by every employee, reducing the time allocated to their work instruction. Searching after “Training” tag will display the node with instructions, that is important in teaching employees the rules and the preventive measures for future activities. Search after “Blocking” tag shows all tasks that need remedy.
6.4 NotificationsNew things added are instantly marked and you will know about them thanks to the blue pop-up box. You can see this notification while you work in other programs, so you won't miss anything. Real-time notification Newly added nodes
Colors for Everyone Memshare helps sorting out how you want to see everything in the project. The possibility to select the colors, the name (or both options) makes it easier to know what employee edited a node.
6.5 Adding Items Adding files, contact data, pictures inside a node gives a detailed view on the actual progress of the work, letting you to manage tasks smartly.
7. System Architecture This application is written in Java and we can easily run it in various operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac, Android). It is also multi- language, therefore can be translated.
