  3. Private University • Highest tuition cost • Individual Requirements and registration deadlines • Offer specialized education- religion • Privately funded • 4- Year Institution • SAT and ACT may recommend SAT II

University Of California- UC • Research Based Education • More selective • Graduate studies and specific majors • Minimum of 3.0 GPA • Requires SAT I and or ACT • Recommend SAT II subject tests not required • Generally larger class size • Application Deadline- now, Nov. 1- Nov. 30 • State funded • 4- Year Institution

Student Loans • Subsidized: government pays interest until the student graduates • Unsubsidized: interest accumulates throughout the life of the loan, while student is going to school • Loans do not have to be paid back until six months after student graduates although you can pay towards loan while student is in school

  16. Military Service • Go in as a Officer • Get school paid for 1st then serve • Reserve: one weekend a month two weeks a year. • Scholarships through ROTC program (academic and merit based) • Army • Navy • Marines • Air Force
