  2. Good morning everyone. I am Ethan and I am . Welcome to the PNN news show. Today is Monday, November 8th, 2010. Let’s begin our day with the pledge of allegiance.

  3. Here is Mrs. Johnson’s 4th grade class to lead the pledge. • (After the pledge, please remain standing for the National Anthem.)

  4. The character word for this month is CITIZENSHIP*. Which means: Respectful devotion or allegiance to one's country and/or school.

  5. The Character word for this week is: Patriotism. Which means: Respectful devotion or love to one’s country.

  6. And now for a moment of quiet reflection

  7. Here is Mrs. Chandler with today’s words of wisdom. Let’s listen.

  8. Good morning Pitner Patriots. This is Mrs. Chandler with a few words of wisdom. Did you know that people from all over the world travel hundreds and hundreds and thousands of miles just so they can come live in America? Some people even risk their lives. Why?

  9. Because America is one of the best places in the world to live. We are very lucky to live in America, and we need to help keep our country strong and free. “But I’m just a little kid,” you say. “What can I do for my country?”

  10. Well, listen to what former President Bill Clinton says: The most important thing you can do for your country is to work hard in the classroom. Why? Because the harder you work, the smarter you will be when you grow up. Smarter people make smarter citizens, and smarter citizens make smarter choices for the country.

  11. Today think about what smart choices you will make for the country when you grow up. Then be a good citizen and work hard in the classroom.

  12. With something to think about, this is _Mrs. Chandler. Make it a great day… or not. The choice is yours.

  14. Your lunch choices for today are: Ravioli Casserole • w/Breadstick, Egg & Cheese Omelet • w/Glazed French Toast or a *Greek Salad with a breadstick

  15. With your choice of: Tator Tots, Caesar Side Salad, Baby Carrots, Mandarin Oranges, Fresh Fruit, 100% Juice, Baked Peaches, along with your regular drink choice.

  16. Please join the Proud Pitner Patriots by sending in some canned goods for our annual "Canned Food Drive."  We will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable items from October 27th - November 12th.  .

  19. Family Movie Night is this Friday! That’s right, Movie night! They'll be showing Toy Story 3. Bring a blanket, the popcorn, candy and drinks all will be sold for you to purchase! Sounds like the perfect Friday night! Back to you Anchors!

  20. Mondays are Recycling Days Please remember to bring in your used copier ink cartridges and put them in the PTSA box located at the front of the school office. Soda cans and newspapers at the back of the school by the lower playground. Pitner is Going Green with Recycling!

  21. Attention tutoring students: Today is tutoring day after school. Please meet in the cafeteria at the appointed time.

  22. The official Pitner time is ________ (look at clock). Remember to listen to your teacher and try to do your best all day today.
