Higher energy yield through Pyramid technology • Use of „extra-white“ glass • It has an especially low iron content in comparision with conventional silicate glasses • This glass allows it to transmit excellently the band of the spectrum that is so important to solar cells, i.e. the wave lengths starting with visible light, just below the ultraviolet band

Higher energy yield through Pyramid technology • The specially-formed structures affect the path of the light and lead to a higher light yield • Rays of light which have already been reflected are refracted again on the inside of the glass and reflected – with some being reflected back to the solar cell in the process • Thus , up to 7 % more yield can be achieved

Higher energy yield through Pyramid technology • Meanwhile the second generation of the structural glass • The latest structural improvements address the behavior of angels of incidence greater than 40° • At the expense of the rate of increase at extreme angles of around 80°, efficiency is noticeably increased in the interval between 40° and 70° • This range of angles is more often involved • The result is an even greater net efficiency as compared to the glass structures used until now

Excellent partial-load performance In comparison to other polycrystalline solar modules the solar module series alfasolar pyramid achieves the best energy conversion with middle irradiations, which seems especially often. Thus the maximum efficiency of the module is achieved in the area of 200-900 W / m². The modules are output-optimised.

  14. Proven self-cleaning ability by wind and rain • The structural glass is extremely smooth • It is difficult for dirt particles to accumulate • Dirt is directed into the depresions and is easily removed by wind an rain
