  9. How to create a game • Program an engine : • Generally in C/C++ language. • Support of OpenGL or Direct3D libraries. • The most part is the graphical engine. • Sometimes, artificial intelligence.

  10. How to create a game • Mapping and texturing : • Modeling the characters, using 3D software. • Mapping the levels, with specific editors which are especially developed for the game. • Texturing the levels, using 2D software.

  11. How to create a game • Developers Teams : • From 5 to 30 developers work with each. • At least, a lead programmer, a second for external tasks, two 3D modelers and a graphic artist. • And an editor for the game. Generally the editor is a well-known company.

  12. The Players • Who ? • Anybody who can play video games, you just need to like them. • Why ? • Just for entertainment or to make money. • The dangers ? • Some psychological dangers for epileptics, for example.
