Air Force EVM Update: Current Plans and Future Improvements

The AF EVM IPT is conducting a comprehensive earned value management (EVM) query from August to September 2010, evaluating 74 programs across various AF Product and Logistics Centers, including ESC, ASC, AAC, and SMC. This initiative aims to assess the expertise and implementation of earned value management in the service and guide future improvements. The 2010 EVM Query is set to be completed by December 2010, with initial targeted areas for enhancement focusing on certification, training, and standardization based on query results.

Current Plans • AF EVM IPT is conducting a comprehensive EVM Query Aug – Sept 2010 • 74 programs being evaluated • Across AF Product and Logistics Centers • ESC, ASC, AAC, SMC • WR-ALC, OO- ALC • Purpose: assess expertise and use of earned value across the service. Guide future EVM improvements. 2

  3. Future Plans • Will complete 2010 EVM Query by December 2010 • Initial targeted areas for future improvements include certification, training improvements, and trip wire standardization. The prioritization and kickoff will depend on the query results. 3
