  2. When did the civil war occur? • The civil war started April 12, 1861. The end of the war was April 9, 1865

  3. States on the Union Side • Union: Oregon, California, Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Masochists, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine

The Main Weapons • Artillery: These weapons are any weapons bigger then small arms, they are also known as cannons and where a big help in the war, the union had a very large lead on the number of these they had • Edged weapons: These are weapons that have a sharp edge such as swords, lances, stuff like that, but they where mostly used to show ranking in the armies

  11. Weapons continued • Small Arms: Small arms are anything small enough to be carried in hand or on the shoulder of a soldier. They where the main weapon class that was in the civil war and caused more deaths that most other weapons. Like the artillery, the north pr the union had a much higher number or these then the confederate did.

  12. Vehicles • One of the special vehicles in the civil war where special ships call “iron clad” these ships where made of iron and where much harder to sink. • The other transportation was really only horse drawn wagons and horses themselves

  13. America’s Future • The civil war is a big part of our history, it’s one of the main things to end slavery, and also stopped states from creating laws that didn’t go along with the laws of the country itself.

  14. End • The civil wars ends with the surrender of the southern states in the in Appomattox Court House, General Robert E. Lee surrendered to General Ulysses Grant, thus effectively ending the Civil War.

  15. Is Everything on the Internet True? • No, anyone can make a website, and websites like Wikipedia let people edit the pages, therefore, any one could post false information.
