  5. Who were the leaders for the Union? • He was born Feb. 12, 1809 near Hodgenville, Kentucky • Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the united states. • He was a lawyer. • He was president when the war started. • He was assassinated on Apr. 14, 1865 by John Wilkes Booth.

  6. Stonewell Jackson was the confederate general. He was born January 21, 1824 In Clarksburg. In less than a year he was promoted twice. He fought in the Mexican war. Who were the leaders of the confederacy?

  7. Fort Sumter • Fort Sumter was in April 12, 1861. • It was the first battle that started the civil war. • Nobody was killed in the battle. • South Carolina succeeded after Lincoln became president.
