  6. Opportunity and expectations over the next few years. Recommendations • More then 80% of connected consumers are active Facebook users. Facebook represents a big opportunity for retailers (social shoppers spend there so much time). Focus on Facebook pages more than apps! And have a dialogue with your customers • 19% of smartphone owners expect to use their phone more to shop over the next year • 49% expect to shop more on their tablet over the next year. People shop on the tablets because is convenient, but also because they like the experiencetablet facilitates. They are the most creative and happiest. They like to be inspired! 90 million people will be using tablets by 2014

UK study: 13% use smartphones and 7% use tablets in their shopping journey • Smartphones, as a tool for shopping, are liked because of the portability, can be used in the transit and help to locate stores. • Tablets provide an easy access to information and richer browsing experience • QR code usage is very low (only 5% of shoppers use them) • Demographics : smartphones and tablets are mostly used by younger generations, with slightly higher percentage of males users than females. Online shoppers go for inspiration, information and product experience in order to make a purchase
