RoRo VESSELS
Roll-on/roll-off (RORO) vessels are specialized ships designed for the efficient transport of wheeled cargo, including cars, trucks, trailers, and railroad cars. These ships feature built-in ramps that allow vehicles to roll on and off through large stern or bow doors directly to the wharf. Various RORO types exist, including ferries, cruiseferries, cargo ships, and barges. Specific types include Pure Car Carriers (PCC), which transport only cars, ROPAX vessels that combine freight and passenger transport, and ConRO ships, which hybridize RORO and container shipping.
