Foundation Learning – Managing the change from e2e The length of the programme will be approximately 30 weeks instead of the average 22 weeks At EYS learners will still have the opportunity to build their hours from 16 hours to 30 hours per week depending on their ability Courses are now accredited EMA now means tested from 28th June – but travel will still be reimbursed, there will be a minibus run and bonuses will be paid on qualification completion and successful progression

    4. Courses offered Vocational courses – Business Administration, Health and Social Care, Sport and Active Leisure and Art and Design PSD – Personal and Social Development Level 1 and Pre – Parenting Functional Skills – all embedded within the programme but ICT, English and Maths do run separately

    6. Referrals Learners can referred through Connexions, YOT through Self Referral and other outside agencies Marketing materials have been sent to external agencies to advertise the new Foundation Learning programme

    7. Individual Learning Each learner will have an initial assessment period of 6 weeks where they will try out different subjects and choose the programme that suits their needs best. Each tutor will carry on with the review process and invite in Connexions for extra advice and guidance

    8. Progression Routes Business Administration, Sport and Active Leisure and Art and Design – North Herts College have level 2 courses in all subjects Business Administration and Health and Social Care courses are available through our Train to Gain courses We run Health and Social Care and Business Administration apprenticeships Other progression routes into work and apprenticeships
