  3. The Election – a proposal • Users meeting ~Sep 20 will be late- It might be nice to have the elections OVER by then. • We have a problem in that we want to change the by-laws before then (not solved) • Can we do elections like the DNP/DPF etc • Ask for nominations via email • Nominating committee solicits (by coercion/bribery/backmail) nominations • Collect biographies • Vote via web/email • Announce new UEC who takes over immediately after the meeting

Annual Meeting • Dates: Sept 20-21 (F-Sa) - Berkener hall • Poster: photo and text (animal motif – ducks/deer – now turkeys) • Keynote (or big) speaker – Possibilities • Ray Orbach (director DOE OS), Hillary Clinton, Jack Marburger • Theme: Possibilities? • "Talking Turkey at RHIC: Beyond First Collisions“ • Do we understand the physics at RHIC? • Have we delivered on our promises scientifically? • Is there a consistent picture emerging?
