  9. Survey results • The following slides will provide a synopsis of comments received from members in each area of the strategy.

Partners/ Stakeholders • We need more businesses as partners/sponsors • Partnership with Keystone (like) is good but not to the detriment of TTB relationship • Can’t move away from TTB • Need greater relationship with City/PRRA • Better relationship with Birch Mountain Sports (BMS) • Local schools (school board) • Refocusing partnerships/sponsorships from racing to recreational cycling • Make sure JYD supports the local businesses

  11. Partners/ Stakeholders • Opportunity to partner with other sport organizations such as Portage Minor Hockey

Internal Process • Seem to be moving away from being a racing club • Not enough riders, need more time trials • Promote biking at work/school and support the construction of bike trails • Teach kids through school programs how to ride • Stay focus on recreational riding • Create a social media network to link JYD to other PlaP riders • Use website vs blog…better website!

  13. Internal Process • Need a communication volunteer on the board • Invite media to certain JYD meetings • Need to increase JYD fee structure • Fund raising rides • Birch is 2 hours away need a closer alternative

Clients • Encourage people to ride for fun and fitness • Need to understand the need of the local cyclist and structure JYD accordingly • Serving a broader community in PlaP • Stay focus on recreational riding • Make sure events are planed on time • Limit events to ensure success • A bike friendly community that has the highest capita of riders per population

Performance indicator • More riders as members of JYD • More media exposure (# of articles in media) • More money available • Greater volunteer base • Increase clothes line sales • Increase commuter and recreation cycling • A bike friendly community that the highest capita of riders per population

  29. JYD EXECUTIVE Section 3 from the JYD Constitution... C/ The election of the Board of Directors occurs every year at the Annual General Meeting. All terms are for two years (with a maximum of two terms for any one member in the position of President) D/ The President and Treasurer shall be elected in odd numbered years (ie: 2011) while the Vice-President and Secretary shall be elected in even numbered years (ie: 2012)

JYD EXECUTIVE In 2012... -Bob Guenther stepped down from his term of Vice-President to take on a single year term of President -Christopher Kitchen was elected into the vacant position of Vice-President -Blair Geisel was elected into the vacant position of Secretary -Phil Neudorf took over for Robert Guenther to complete her term as Treasurer
