  1. SCARY ANIMALS BY CHRIS

  2. Chilean Rose • I have had a Chilean Rose Tarantula • I fed him dead mice • They are not poisonous to humans but they are deadly to some other animals • It was about the size of my hand • It was very hairy and used to walk up my arm.

  3. THE REDBACK • It is one of the 5 most poisonous spiders in the world. • They come from Australia and are found in both the bush and urban areas. • The female is the most deadly with a body size of 1cm compared to the male, which is 3-4mm. • It is from the Black Widow family. • It has neurotoxic venom, which is toxic to humans. • It has a red stripe on it’s back (funnily enough).

  4. FUNNEL WEB • The funnel web is found in Australia. • It is the most toxic spider in the world. • Animals are often alright after it’s bite but humans die quickly (15-20 mins) • You could find them in the home and the larger one’s in trees in the bush. • Their body size ranges between 1-5cm • It makes a funnel shaped web (obviously).

  5. Corn Snake Hi, I’m a Corn Snake. Any food? I’m starving. • I come from Eastern United States and live in woodlands, meadowlands and rocky hillsides. • I am not dangerous to humans but small animals don’t like me (birds, bats, mice and lizards). • First I bite my prey to weaken it and then I use my coils to squeeze the life out of it. • I can live 20-25 years in captivity and 10 to 20 years in the wild. In the wild there is more bacteria in the food which can shorten my life. • My length is from 61cm – 182cm

  6. DOGO ARGENTINO They have really strong jaws They are not good around kids Meant to be the hardest dog in the world It is also known as the Argentinean Mastiff They need lots of exercise but mainly a loyal owner who will be boss from a puppy up They are loyal dogs and they can make good pets. All dogs need a pack leader. Without this the Mastiff will try and take the lead – i.e. Become aggressive

  7. Crocodile • These are definitely scary • They are large aquatic reptiles that live in the tropics of Africa, Australia, Asia and the Americas. • They live in freshwater like rivers and lakes • They eat mainly vertebrates like fish, reptiles and mammals (including MAN!) • They are ambush hunter because wait for their prey to get close and then attack suddenly. • They kill their prey by getting them into a death roll. • One of the largest type of crocodile can be up to 6.2 metres long. Butter wouldn’t mealt, but then...

  8. Shark • Great White Sharks are the largest predatory fish in the sea. • Great White sharks live along the coasts of all continents except Antarctica. • Great White Sharks rarely attack people and when they do, it is because they mistaken the person for their usual seal prey. • The biggest Great White Shark ever caught was off Prince Edward Island (off the coast of Canada in 1993. It was 20 feet long. (about ¾ the length of a Double Decker bus) • Great White Sharks are no match for Orcas in a fight. Orcas, better known as Killer Whales, sometimes hunt in packs plus they are too fast and strong for even the biggest Great Whites. • Orcas have been known to kill and eat them as well. (Wimps!)
