  2. Channel Width Negotiation/Indication in VHT BSS A VHT BSS can have 20/40/80/160/80+80MHz operating channel. A TXOP can use a channel width that is not wider than BSS’s operating channel. RTS frames, carried in a non-HT duplicated PPDU, signal the Bandwidth indication and Static/Dynamic indication using the Scrambling Sequence Seed scramblerSeed4(1:4) is 1-15 scramblerSeed5(1:5) is 1-31 Bit5, if present, conveys Dynamic (1)/Static (0) indication bit6 – bit7 convey 20 (00)/40 (01)/80 (10)/160 (11) MHz Bandwidth indication CTS and other control frames in a non-HT duplicated PPDU, signal the Bandwidth indication using the Scrambling Sequence Seed bit6 – bit7 convey 20 (00)/40 (01)/80 (10)/160 (11) MHz Bandwidth indication VHT frames use VHT SIG to indicate 20/40/80/160MHz bandwidth. TXOP Bandwidth Negotiation and TXOP Protection in TGah A TGah BSS with a wider (e.g. 16MHz) operating channel may overlap an OBSS with a narrower operating channel (e.g. 2MHz); or some STAs in the BSS with wider (e.g. 8MHz) operating channel may only support narrower bandwidth width (e.g. 1MHz) operation. Dynamic/static negotiation should also be supported. PPDU duplication on the non-primary channels should be used for TXOP channel negotiation and TXOP protection. Date: Jan, 2012

RTS signals the Bandwidth indication and Static/Dynamic indication using the TGah PHY SIG 1 bit conveys Dynamic (1)/Static (0) indication 2 bits convey 1/2/4/8MHz or 2/4/8/16MHz Bandwidth indication (If 1/2/4/8/16MHz is allowed in any country, 3 bits are required here) CTS signaling the Bandwidth indication using the Scrambling Sequence Seed 2 bits convey 1/2/4/8MHz or 2/4/8/16MHz Bandwidth indication (If 1/2/4/8/16MHz is allowed in any country, 3 bits are required here) Duplicate data, control, management TGah PPDUs can be used to do TXOP protection. 2 bits convey 1/2/4/8MHz or 2/4/8/16MHz Bandwidth indication (If 1/2/4/8/16MHz is allowed in any country, 3 bits are required here). This is natural since TGah requires a bandwidth indication in the PHY SIG anyway. And all TGah STAs understand the TGah PHY. This is also extendable. Date: Jan, 2012

RTS signals the Bandwidth indication and Static/Dynamic indication using the Scrambling Sequence Seed bit5 if present conveys Dynamic (1)/Static (0) indication bit6 – bit7 convey 1/2/4/8MHz or 2/4/8/16MHz Bandwidth indication (If 1/2/4/8/16MHz is allowed in any country, 3 bits are required here) CTS signaling the Bandwidth indication using the Scrambling Sequence Seed bit6 – bit7 convey 1/2/4/8MHz or 2/4/8/16MHz Bandwidth indication (If 1/2/4/8/16MHz is allowed in any country, 3 bits are required here) Duplicate data, control, management TGah PPDUs can be used to do TXOP protection. bit6 – bit7 convey 1/2/4/8MHz or 2/4/8/16MHz Bandwidth indication (If 1/2/4/8/16MHz is allowed in any country, 3 bits are required here).
