Comprehensive Analysis of miRNA and mRNA Deregulation in CRC Tissues and Adjacent Normal Tissues

This study explores the differential expression of miRNAs and mRNAs in colorectal cancer (CRC) tissues compared to adjacent normal tissues. Utilizing microarray tests, we identified 2916 deregulated mRNAs and 32 deregulated miRNAs. Pearson correlation analysis revealed 17361 significant miRNA-mRNA correlations, yielding 72 target relationships involving 22 miRNAs (14 upregulated, 8 downregulated) and 58 mRNAs (15 upregulated, 43 downregulated). These findings enhance our understanding of the regulatory networks in CRC and may inform future diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
