Measuring Student Height Accurately: Step-by-Step Guide
This guide outlines the procedure for accurately measuring student height. Begin by having students remove shoes, heavy clothing, hats, and barrettes. Ensure they stand with their back and feet against a wall on a flat surface. The height chart should align with the center of the student’s back. Students should maintain even weight distribution with shoulders relaxed and limbs properly positioned. Use a rafter square against the wall for precision, lowering it until it touches the crown of the head. Record the measurement accordingly for accurate records.
