  2. Mission Impact • Holiday season 2006 • 6 Alcohol related incidents • 2 DUI’s • Irresponsible drinking is a factor in: • 90% Suicides • 80% Sexual assaults • 92% Domestic violence • 44% Fatal motor vehicle accidents

  3. Responsible Drinking Combine 0-0-1-3 with the Wingman Concept

  4. What’s the Definition of “one drink”? • Whether it's served slightly chilled, room temperature, or on the rocks, here's the answer: one 1.5 oz shot of hard liquor at 40% alcohol or 80 proof one 12 oz. beerat 4-5% alcohol (look at the label) one 5 oz. glass of wine at 11% alcohol

  5. Expectations • Responsible drinking means drinking in moderation (0-0-1-3) • 0 drinks if you’re driving • 1 drink per hour • 3 drinks max • If you plan to drink, develop a safe plan for getting home…before you walk out the door • Use your (sober) Wingman

  6. Expectations • Why the “0” “1” and “3”? • 0 drinks if you drive means you have 0 worries about DUI/DUAI • 1 represents the 1 unit of alcohol your body can process in approximately an hour * • 3 represents how many units of alcohol can be present in your body, without a significant deterioration in decision-making ability * • * Height/weight and stomach contents may vary impact on processing/functioning

  7. Think 0-0-1-3 this holiday season Remember your Wingman

  8. Don't let your commander 'Pop his Corc' This Holiday Season. Make wise choices first. Remember Culture of Responsible Choices (CoRC)
