  1. How to change the battery of a Kindle device

  2. Turn off the Kindle device. Slide the Power button at the top to switch off your Kindle device. Steps-1

  3. Put the device down. Lay your Kindle device facedown on a smoothly handling. Steps-2

  4. Remove the back cover. Place your fingers on the gray back cover and carefully slide it off to the right to reveal the battery. Steps-3

  5. Take out the battery. Remove the battery from the back by lifting it off the bay and gently pulling its cable off to disconnect it from the Kindle itself. Steps-4

  6. Remove the screws. There are seven screws in the device. You can use a double-square tip screwdriver to remove these. Steps-5

  7. Place the screws in a safe place. Do not lose these screws; otherwise, you won’t be able to attach the cover back. Steps-6
