  14. Static Performance Tests & Seismic Application Tests • Input Terminated Noise (ITN) • The purpose of the input-terminated noise test was to verify the static parameters of the IRIS digitizers. These static parameters were dominated primarily by the random noise generated within the digitizer and from other components within the sub-system. • Seismic System Noise (SSN) • The digitizer self-noise should be below the expected seismic background and the self-noise of the seismometer - Streckeisen STS-1 with velocity response and sensitivity of 2,400 v/m/s. The system noises of the digitizers were converted to ground motion spectral units using the STS1 response mathematical model. The results of these computations were overlaid with the USGS New Low Earth Noise Model (NLNM) to demonstrate the ability of the digitizers to resolve a very low Edelvays Spassov, Kinemetrics Inc.
