  2. This involves everyone.

  3. Our landfills are FULL We need to help the environment.

  4. We are going to learn how to sort our garbage. We will reduce how much waste ends up in the landfill.

  6. Green: Organic

  7. Black: Waste

  8. Sorting in the classroom Recyclables & Waste Organic

West Langley Lion C.U.B.S.(Children United for Better Sustainability) • Teams of C.U.B.S. in classrooms at recess and lunch to help you learn where your garbage goes • We encourage you to bring litterless lunches and snacks to school • All wrappers, etc need to be placed in the correct bin BEFORE you go out and play

  10. What Can You Do? • “Be the boss of where you toss” – take the time to look which bin your garbage should go in • Bring a litterless lunch • Take wrappers, etc off in the classroom before you go outside

  11. We will all need to work together to move our recyclables/organics/waste from the classroom to the sorting station in the hallway.

  12. Our custodians will empty the sorting stations into the bins outside.

  13. Together we can make a difference!
