  3. King Ahaz: Out with the Old • One of the worst kings Israel ever had • 2 Chron 28:1-3 A clue to his reign • vv. 22-25 Rejecting the presence of God! • v. 27 A hopeful promise of a better future • Sometimes old habits just need to die • Sometimes you just need a fresh start

  4. King Hezekiah: In with the New • Not like father not like son • One of the best kings Israel ever had • Hezekiah reverses the destructive habits of his father (2 Chron 29:2) • Opportunity

  5. 4 Steps to Spiritual Renewal • Decide to change (29:10) • Take out the trash (29:4-5; 15-16) • Add the treasure (29:18-19) • Do it immediately! (29:3) The result: 29:29-36; 30:26
