Emphasizing the potential for South-South cooperation, it highlights key areas such as dynamical modeling, data management, capacity building, and coordination with universities and scientific institutions. It calls for a regional initiative to systematize best practices and suggests organizing a meeting of RCC representatives to define a Mobilization Strategy to effectively address climate challenges in the region.

“Other RCCs highly recommended functions, a possible way forward” Rodney Martínez Güingla r.martinez@ciifen-int.org
A possible way forward • There is strong potential in the region for South-South cooperation on Dynamical modeling, data management, tailored applications, communication to users. • Capacity Building strategy should be designed, agreed and presented among RCCs. • Climate research activities must be coordinated with Universities or other scientific institutions and promote liaison with WCRP regional panels. • A regional effort to systematize good practices in the region should be coordinated among RCCs. • A meeting with RCCs representatives and Technical Cooperation Department should be coordinated in order to define a Mobilization Strategy for the region.
