  3. Ephesians 4 1 Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, 3 being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.

  4. The Dynamic of Agape Love

  5. Experiencing the Exchanged Life Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us… Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love,  TO BE TO BE

  6. The Exchanged Life • prisoner of the Lord,  • to walk in a manner worthy of the calling • humility and gentleness, • patience, showing tolerance for one another  • preserve the unity of the Spirit • the bond of peace. CHRIST

  7. 伝道の原点は聖書の命令から来るものでは無く、神様の心、そのものです。伝道の原点は聖書の命令から来るものでは無く、神様の心、そのものです。

  8. The basis for Evangelism is notthat the Bible says to evangelize but rather it is the simply the heart of Godwho indwells you.

  9. The Exchanged Life prisoner of the Lord,  Matthew 26:52-54 52 Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place; for all those who take up the sword shall perish by the sword. 53 Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels? 54 How then will the Scriptures be fulfilled, which say that it must happen this way?” prisoner to the authorities, prisoner to prophecy

  10. The Exchanged Life prisoner of the Lord,  2 Corinthians 4:18while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. prisoner to the authorities, prisoner to prophecy

  11. The Exchanged Life to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called,  John 5:36But the testimony that I have is greater than that of John. For the works that the Father has given me to accomplish, the very works that I am doing, bear witness about me that the Father has sent me.

  12. The Exchanged Life to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called,  Luke 3:22and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, "You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased."

  13. The Exchanged Life • humility and gentleness, • Humility ⇒ assessment of my merits • Meekness⇒ assessment of my rights 2 Corinthians 10:1I, Paul, myself entreat you, by the meekness and gentleness of Christ—I who am humble when face to face with you, but bold toward you when I am away!

  14. The Exchanged Life • humility and gentleness, Philippians 2:5-8 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, ... made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

  15. The Exchanged Life with all humility and gentleness, But that is not what a servant of the Lord is to do. He is to recognize that when he is reviled, if he reviles in return, he has departed from the example of his Lord, who, "When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; ... but he trusted to him who judges justly," (1 Peter 2:23 RSV).

  16. The Exchanged Life with patience, showing tolerance for one another The Samaritan Woman

  17. with patience, showing tolerance for one another John 4 3 He left Judea and went away again into Galilee. 4 And He had to pass through Samaria.  5 So He came to a city of Samaria called Sychar, near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph;  6 and Jacob’s well was there. So Jesus, being wearied from His journey, was sitting thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour. Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, ... made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

  18. with patience, showing tolerance for one another John 4 7 There came a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.”  8 For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.  9 Therefore the Samaritan woman said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me for a drink since I am a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.) Christ Jesus: No Jew and Gentile

  19. with patience, showing tolerance for one another John 4 10Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”  11 She said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with and the well is deep; where then do You get that living water?  13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again;  14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”  15 The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, so I will not be thirsty nor come all the way here to draw.”

  20. with patience, showing tolerance for one another John 4 20Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and you people say that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.”  21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, an hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.  22 You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.  23 But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.  24 God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

  21. with patience, showing tolerance for one another John 4 39 From that city many of the Samaritans believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all the things that I have done.”  40 So when the Samaritans came to Jesus, they were asking Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days.  41 Many more believed because of His word;  42 and they were saying to the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this One is indeed the Savior of the world.”

  22. The Exchanged Life being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. John 17:23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.

  23. The Exchanged Life in the bond of peace. Luke 2:14"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!" Luke 1:79to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace."

  24. The Exchanged Life being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. John 20:21Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you."

  25. The Exchanged Life Servant Leadership John 13 3Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come forth from God and was going back to God, 4got up from supper, and laid aside His garments; and taking a towel, He girded Himself. 5 Then He poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.
