  2. Basics • His real name is Aubrey Drake Graham. • He was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. • He was born on October 24, 1986. So he’s 25 years old. • He’s known as Drake, Drizzy Drake or as just Drizzy.

  3. Early Life • Drake’s dad is African American. He’s from Memphis, Tennessee. • His mom is white Jewish Canadian. • He went to a Jewish day school. • His parents got divorced when he was 5 years old. • He began acting during high school. • He spent summers with his father.

  4. Music career • He released his first mix tape February 2006 named “Room for improvement”. • He became the first unsigned singer to have his music on BET. • Lil Wayne brought him into the Young Money crew. • He has had many Billboard 100 hits. • He made an album named “Take Care”.

  5. Acting career • Drake started his acting career in 2001. • It started with him being in a role for “Degrassi: the next generation”. • He appeared in 138 episodes. • He gave up being in a movie to focus on his album “Take Care”. • He had a role in the video game “Gears of War”.

  6. Composer • He makes his own music. • He has written music for Alicia Keys, Jamie Foxx, and more. • He likes to remix music. • Drake says him & Lil Wayne both wrote one of Dr. Dre’s albums named “Detox”.

  7. Personal • He is a fan of the Kentucky Wildcats. • He made an appearance at the Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball game. • In 2009 Drake dated Rhianna. • He postponed his entire European tour due to his mother’s illness in 2010. • He was featured in a 2010 complex magazine.
