5 Ways Electricity is Generated By: Gabby Klos,Alexis Carter, and Allison Hilborn Wind Turbine
First two ways Mechanical Energy Biomass or Fossil Fuels Mechanical Energy is using the wind or water, renewable resources that immediately turns a turbine and generates electricity. Fossil Fuels and Biomass, non renewable resources, generate electricity by being burned, this gives off their stored chemical energy that can change into steam, and power a turbine that will power an electrical generator.
Third and Forth ways Natural Gases Nuclear Energy Natural gases are non-renewable resources that are burned and the gases coming from that are used to turn a turbine connected to a electrical generator. Uranium atoms, a non renewable resource, are split and the gases released are used to power a turbine connected to an electrical generator.
Photovoltaic (PV) cells Photovoltaic cells are like solar panels, a renewable resource, to capture the suns energy and convert in into electricity.
