Take the stairs, walk instead of getting a ride and take your bike.

  3. Exercise combats health conditions and diseases • 1. Being active boosts high-density lipoprotein (HDL), or "good," cholesterol and decreases unhealthy triglycerides. • 2. These two things reduce your risk for cardiovascular disease. • 3. Regular physical activity lowers your risk and can help you prevent or manage a wide range of health problems and concerns, including stroke, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, depression, certain types of cancer, arthritis and falls.

  4. Exercise improves your mental well being • 1. Physical activity stimulates various brain chemicals that may leave you feeling happier and more relaxed. • 2. You will also feel better about your appearance and yourself when you exercise regularly, which will boost your confidence and improve your self-esteem.
