  2. Introduction Find out what happened after the glacier age. If you also want to know what happened to our environment after Early Man. Learn about the different tools they used and other things they did to impact their environment.

  3. After Glacier Age • Glaciers moving for humans • Animals moving to fresh water • Extinction to most animals • Water unfreezes

  4. Early Man • Hunting too much • Animal extinction • Flint napping • Starting fire

  5. Early Farmers • The Plow • Irrigation • River valleys • Ditches & Canals

  6. Mesopotamia • They made city walls • Made a Ziggurat • They did pottery • The creation of cuneiform

  7. Egypt • Making boats • Civil War • The Pyramids • Burial Tombs

  8. Greece • The soil is bad • There are lots of mountains • There is never enough fresh water • Greece has a lot of coastlines (beaches)

  9. Rome • Tremendous environmental advantages • There were deserts, mountains, swamps, forests, etc. • People were farmers & herders • Built roads & bridges

  10. Conclusion After I’ve learned about ancient people and how they impacted their environment, I know now that we affect the environment more than the ancient people did then. Everybody needs to learn how we impact the environment now with our machines.
