  2. Paleo Indians The Paleo- Indians are the ancestors of all the contemporary Indian tribes in the Americas. Paleo means “Old”. Paleo Indian culture was diverse in its many forms. Some groups were predators, some farmed as the need arose.

  3. The Bering Land Bridge Theory Beringia is the name of the land bridge that was used to connect Asia to North America during an ice age. It is believed that this land bridge was used by early humans to migrate to North America 15,000 years ago. They were following prey.

  4. Tools of the Paleo-Indians Paleo Indians hunted, farmed and gathered. They used stone-tipped spears used to hunt mastodons, wooly mammoths, giant beavers, giant sloths, and bighorn bison. They used natural flood patterns to irrigate crops.
